Overview
Sri Revanna Siddeshwara Betta is commonly called SRS Betta ( SRS Hills ) by the locals. it consists of a massive Monolithic Stone surrounded by beautiful hilly region and located equidistance from Ramanagar, Channapatna, and Kanakapura It’s a hill located at the scenic location of Ramanagara. Sri Revanna Siddeshwara Betta believed to be the reincarnation of Jagadguru Sri Renukacharya the founder of "Veerashaiva Siddantha " (Shaiva Dharma ) with a slogan "sarve janaha sukhino bhavanthu" performed penance over a century at Sri Revanna Siddeshwara Betta. Lord Revana Siddeshwara traveled across the country and left many miracles in helping distressed, poor, and backward people and established socialism and secularism long ago.
Sri Revanna Siddeshwara Betta height of the hill is around 3066ft above sea level. View from the top the hill is beautiful. There are totally 3 temples on the hill, Renukamba temple at the base, Bemeshwari Temple at midway and Reveanasiddeswara temple at the top. On top, you will also find Rama temple beside a small pond. This place is rich in history, and history goes back to the period of Ramayana. Almost all age group people climb the hill to get the blessings of Shiva. It’s a well known Shiva Temple in India. The hill itself is not very difficult to climb. There are steps all along and it will take you around 20 minutes to reach the top. All along, you get a nice view of the surroundings with other hills on the horizon. There are plenty of mango plantations all around.

The route to Revanna Siddeshwara Betta
Bangalore - Ramanagar - On the way to Mysore road take a left turn to Kanakapura road, you need to travel around 10 KM from this road, then you will see the welcome arch at the right side, just pass another 2KM to reach the heavenly place.
Know Before you go
- It’s advisable not to visit this place at summers as it can become quite hot
- Do not visit this place when it rains, as the rock can become very slippery.
- Please don’t litter anywhere. Let this place hold its beauty.
- Don’t go for night trekking as it is not safe.
- Best time is to visit in the early morning or evening
