Overview

Candolim Beach is situated in North Goa. It is located around 14 km from the capital city Panjim. This beach lies between Sinquerim Beach and Calangute Beach. The beach of Candolim is a favorite haunt of most foreign tourists. This beach is part of the long stretch of beaches along the Arabian Sea that begins at Fort Aguada and ends at Chapora Beach. Compared to Sinquerim beach and Calangute Beach this beach is relatively less crowded and cleaner. It has nice white sand. The water at this beach is also relatively clearer and good to swim. Candolim beach has the best of Seafood Shacks and plenty of water sports activities to choose from over here. The tourist season of Candolim beach begins late in mid-November and Christmas is the time to head to Candolim beach. Mount Valley Guest House is located at a distance of around 10 minutes’ drive by bike. This beach offers scenic beauty from the coastline and it is not crowded because very few tourists know about this beach. There are a number of tourists destinations located near this beach and therefore many tourists also prefer to visit this and stay near this beach. 

Know Before you go

• To get to the best part of the beach, don’t take the main entrance. Take a small bylane opposite to Novotel hotel and drive down the narrow bylanes and that will open up to a smaller bay sort of place which is easily accessible from the main roads. Hence making it even less crowded and peaceful.
• Avoid getting a message on the beach and if you are not interested in having food and drinks on the beach then go for paid beds which they charge around INR 200 per couple for 2~3 hours.
•  Most of the shacks do not offer locker facility.
• Water games are limited and if you want to get into the water, you need to find your own place to keep your wallet and electronic gadgets.
