Queen's Bath is a beautiful aquatic complex in Hampi is a 500-year old colossal built near the main palace area of Vijayanagara Empire. The Queen’s Bath is believed to be constructed by Achyuta Raya for the women of the royal family of Vijayanagara. This historic structure emits the Indo-Islamic style of architecture. This structure is a rectangular building which is stretched to an area of about 30 square meters. The bath has no ceiling and is open to the sky, adding to its grandeur. Large stone steps lead down to the bottom of the bath. The sunken bath constructed within it is about 15 square meters which have a depth of 1.8 meters. This structure is provided with freshwater supplying canals and also provided with a moat. Also, a bridge is been constructed to cross the moat to reach the bath. This beautiful structure is interesting also leaves a surprising expression to praise the artistic talent of workers during the ancient centuries. There are a few dress changing rooms built inside this complex. This also has a royal living area meant for the queens. This pond does provide a special cooling effect inside these complexes. This was designed in a way to flow cool air inside these complex areas. Once this pond was filled with many water plants and had herbal water in it. It does consist of a lotus plant in the center of the pond. The bath complex is filled with lovely gardens.
