Sasivekalu Ganesha is Another cute monolithic Ganesh temple. The name "Sasivekalu Ganesha" means mustard seed Ganesha. The name is associated with Ganesha's stomach or pot belly resembles the shape of a mustard seed, known as Sasivekalu in the local language. This east facing monolithic statue is situated on the south-eastern slope of Hemakuta hill. Sasivekalu Ganesha Temple is best known for its enticing architectures. This temple is a wonderful example of the Vijayanagara style of architecture where the idol of Lord Ganesha is carved out of a single rock. Sasivekalu Ganesha statue stands 2.4 Meters (8 ft) tall and is placed under a 16 pillared Mantapa. The mantapa's pedestal, columns, beams, and roof are dressed granite blocks. The mantapa's crown is brick and mortar work in Indo Saracenic style. The roof is supported by the pillars that do not have any texture, pattern or carving done on them.
