It is bordered by Kannur district of Kerala. It is merely 16 km from Vijarpet. Pay attention to the rock, over which the waters come cascading down – it looks like a tortoise, earning the falls the local name of Embepare or tortoise. Chelavara waterfall is positioned between lush green forests. This Beautiful and scenic waterfall and the surrounding make a huge gift by mother nature and is a part of private property. The rainy season is the best time to visit here to see the perfect beauty of the falls. Reaching here is very easy so anyone can see this fall without any problems. These falls are seasonal as there is not much flow here during summers. Its beauty is worth praiseworthy post monsoon.
