Rajmala Hills
Overview
Rajamala hill station is located in Idukki district and is at a distance of 15 km from Munnar. It is located at a height of 2695 m above sea level. The Nilgiri Tahr that is a rare species can be seen here. Visitors arrive at this place primarily to get a glimpse of this animal. Visitors will get engaged in a variety of adventurous activities such as mountain climbing, rock climbing and so on. The forests of Eravikulam - Rajamala area draw as many people. The region of the Rajmala Wildlife Sanctuary has a rich vegetation of shrubs, herbs, climbers and trees making it a haven for nature lovers and photographers. Besides, the Nilgiri Tahr population, there are many other animals and reptiles that can be spotted in the region like tigers, panthers, elephants, deers and gaurs. The scenic beauty of this mountain will make you want to stay here forever. Rajamala wildlife sanctuary is also a portion of Eravikulam wildlife sanctuary. you will find an amazing array of fauna at this place and also the bird watchers are also able to spend a good time at this place. The Kuthumkal waterfall is another attraction of Rajamala and it is very beautiful. Nyayamakad that is close to Rajamala is usually a land of waterfalls plus the heights of hills via which the water flows down is approximately 1600 meters. The hill station of Rajamala is without doubt one of the best adventure to experience a relaxed as well as calm trip.
