Overview
Chandrashila that literally suggests the ‘Moon Rock’ is the summit of the Chandranath Parvat on which the Tungnath temple of Panch Kedar is situated. The majestic Chandrashila summit serves as a vantage point that offers a heavenly panorama of the Great Himalayas. Chandrashila Deoriatal is a window into Himalaya’s spring color vibrancy. A well-loved trek for mountain goers of all kinds, this trek flourishes with blossoms, especially rhododendrons red and pink, in summertime while winters are a hazy shade with enough scopes to have a ball in spilling snow. The whole tour covers a swoop to the Chandrashila Peak, passing by the enchanting Deoriatal lakeside, and opens up a gallery of stunning snow peaks all the way. This 5-day plan is unmatched in nature’s beauty, exhilarating challenges, time efficiency, and convenience. The highlights of the trek range from awe-inspiring summit views to the warmth of the forest greens, piquing up interests in all sorts of mountain lovers. You could be a nature treasurer, bird watching amateur, or a shutterbug with a dream of capturing the drama in the highlands, Chopt-Chandrashila-Deorital is a trek for all and fails none.
The first big stop on the trek comes with Deoriatal. Situated at a good height of 7, 800 feet, the lake is gripped with forests all around. At a short distance ahead, the Chaukhamba massif glistens and the reflection of it is caught in the crystal-like waters of the lake. The effect is striking. The site is steeped in myths. As goes the story, the five Pandava brothers from the Mahabharata, once thirsty, had come to the waters of Deoriatal and faced a test of wisdom. Camping here the first night under a stardust sky makes the mellowest of memories on a trek. Next up on the line of visual ecstasies are the extensive meadows that turn to snowfields along the way to Chopta. As one furthers up the trail, great peaks jump to view—Bandarppoonch, Kedar, and Chaukhamba to name a few. These stellar features of the Garhwal Himalayas promise to get more elucidated from the zenith of Chandrashila, so the motivation is never lost and one goes on until the end of the summit stretch at the Tunganath temple.

Itinerary
- Early in the morning, meet us at Rishikesh, where we will change from the bus to a private vehicle after you have had breakfast.
- From here, we’ll be heading towards Chopta, located at a height of about 2,680 metres (8,790 ft). You will be passing by the towns of Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Ukhimath on the way. We will even make a brief halt at Devprayag to bask in the beauty of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Sangam!
- We take a lunch break at Srinagar, one of the most beautiful spots of the region. Stretch your legs as you take in the unspoilt glory of nature around you!
- 5:00 PM - We will reach the campsite at Baniya Kund, where a steaming mug of tea and some welcome snacks will be awaiting your arrival.
- Relax by the fire and revel in the awe-inspiring sight of the starry night as you enjoy the campfire before heading into your tents for the night!
- In the morning, wake up with an excellent sunrise view on the snow-covered Himalayan Peaks. After breakfast, the trek starts to Chopta. It?s a gradual trek and the views are worth the effort. We pass through the dense forest and beautiful alpine meadows dotted with flowers. Arrive at Chopta and camp at the outskirts. Hot meals will be served shortly with an overnight stay in a tent.
- Wake up very early morning to reach the summit on time to see the panoramic view of the high Himalayan peaks. The trek is mostly a gradual ascent through the dwarf rhododendron bushes. You can watch most of the prominent peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas from Chandrashilla Top. Nanda Devi (7817Mtrs-the second highest peak of Indian Himalayas), Kedarnath, Trishul, Bandarpoonch, etc are the prominent peaks visible from here. Explore the area and trek back to the camp at Chopta. Dinner and overnight stay in camp.
- The morning after breakfast, we board our vehicle and drive back to Rishikesh. Tour ends upon arrival in Rishikesh.
Know Before you go
- First timer can apply, should have some interest in Trekking and mountaineering.
- The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 5 km of distance in 45 minutes without a stress.
- The climber should be able to carry a 10 kg backpack.
- Heart problems, high blood pressure, asthma, and epilepsy cannot be reconciled on this mission. The climber must not have the conditions mentioned above.

- No refund if cancelled : We know plans can change, and we're here to help. Unfortunately, no refunds are available once a booking is confirmed. Your reservation is final, and modifications or reschedules can't be accommodated. In case of cancellation, a 100% cancellation fee will apply.
- Unforeseen Circumstances : This activity requires good weather. In cases of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions leading this activity cancellations, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
- Refund Process : Refunds will be credited to the original booking payment source within 10 business days, and cash refunds will not be issued
