Overview
The Singapore Flyer is one of the tallest observation wheels in the world and gives fantastic 360 degree unobstructed views of downtown Singapore. The Flyer can be seen from anywhere in the downtown core, but the views from inside the Flyer’s pods can even allow you to see the other side of the country, on a clear day. The Singapore Flyer is a giant Ferris wheel in Singapore. this observation wheel Reaching 42 stories high, the Flyer comprises a 150m diameter wheel, built over a three-story terminal building, giving it a total height of 165m. This exceeds The Star of Nanchang by 5m and the London Eye by 30m. Located in the heart of downtown Marina Bay, the Singapore Flyer is now Asia's largest giant observation wheel. More importantly, it is high on thrills for tourists and locals alike.
Step into one of the 28 fully air-conditioned glass capsules, and be transported on a 30-minute journey of a stunning day and night scenes. Singapore Flyer flight also includes FLYER 360+, an interactive in-capsule experience that enhances your flight experience with its rich content on Singapore history, culture and iconic landmarks. From your capsule on top of the world, feast your eyes on iconic and historical landmarks and views from Marina Bay to the Singapore River, such as Raffles Place, Merlion Park, Empress Place, and the Padang. With any luck, you’ll be able to spot landmarks up to 45 kilometers away, like Changi Airport, Sentosa Island and parts of Malaysia and Indonesia.
Know Before you go
- check the weather condition first before going to the Singapore Flyer, because they cancel the ride when the weather is not good.
- Board right after the sun dips around 6:30 pm so you can get some pretty good light against the city skyline
- if you flew Singapore Airlines make sure to bring your boarding pass as you will get a 10% discount off admission prices.
