It is a unique experience and you must try it as it loves both by children and adults. As far as horse riding is concerned, horses are available for hire around Mattupetty dam and other places and Munnar makes for an excellent opportunity for the activity. At Carmelagiri, you can experience elephant rides through the lovely woods and get to know these majestic beings. The private park which is open all through the year offers you a different experience of riding an elephant. Elephant Safari costs around INR 400 per person for short safaris of 15 minutes. while horse riding costs around INR 300 per head.
